A brand new collection of homes in Singleton, near Ashford in Kent, is showing the first signs of taking shape as the groundwork and construction teams from Great Homes Limited begin their work – much to the delight of the many homebuyers who have already expressed an interest in the new project.
Announced just a few weeks ago, the prestigious collection of homes immediately captured the imagination and has already generated a lot of interest. Designed exclusively for buyers of 60 years and over, it will meet a demand for luxurious homes within a complex that provide a safe and secure environment for independent living in the area.
“We are delighted with the initial response to the new homes,” says David Sparks, managing director of Chafford Hundred-based Great Homes Limited. “We felt there was a need for homes designed especially for more mature residents, and although we are still very much in the early stages of the development, already we have had many enquiries.”
At the moment it is only initial foundations and roadways that can be seen, but eventually the development will be an elegant complex of 46 private secure retirement apartments standing in landscaped gardens. Presented in mellow shades of brick with architectural features, it will blend sympathetically with the countryside known as the ‘Garden of England’ that surrounds it.
Each of the apartments will be spacious, bright and offer a particularly high specification – and all at a pleasing price. Some will have one bedroom, others two, but all will be presented with its own individual entrance door from a decorated and carpeted corridor, a private hallway and an internal layout that combines practicalities with ease of living.
There will be a number of apartment layout styles from which to choose. Similarly, many of the apartments will feature patios or Juliet balconies, so again residents will be able to choose the style that suits them best. There will be apartments at ground level, although even the apartments on a higher level of the three-storey building will be easily accessed by a lift. The complex offers many possibilities to choose the apartment that suits individual tastes perfectly.
In the first stages, all apartments will be offered ‘off-plan’, which means that buyers can have the opportunity to be one of the first to choose and secure their apartment of choice. In time, a show apartment will be available to view, too, but whichever apartment is chosen, common to all is an impressive specification, lots of communal safety features and some interesting finishing touches.
Every apartment will have a fully fitted kitchen, for instance, which if secured early on can be tailored with tiles, flooring and cabinet finishes to suit individual preferences. Integral to each kitchen will be a range of appliances – a fitted oven and hob, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer and a stylish extractor are all standard. Bathrooms will be presented elegantly in white, while every apartment will feature efficient electric heating and double glazed windows.
The beauty of the new homes at Singleton, Ashford, however, is that they have been designed to ensure residents are both safe and secure – and have complete peace of mind. A CCTV entryphone system will be a prominent feature, ensuring only welcome guests and visitors will be able to enter the building. There will be 24-hour support and careline facilities and a day manager in place for emergencies, an integrated fire alarm system, plus the development’s large communal garden will be secure to provide stress-free leisurely walks.
Residents will have the additional benefit of being able to meet up with neighbours in the communal lounge and conservatory, while a free internal telephone system, car parking and a buggy store are just some of the other features the new homes will offer.
Great Homes Limited’s prestigious collection of new homes is located in the growing community of Singleton, just a stone’s throw from the pretty village of Great Chart with which it shares amenities such as a church, inns, a village hall and local shops. Singleton is surrounded by picture-postcard villages including the medieval Biddenden, Smarden and Wye set in the depths of the North Downs countryside, and of course the historic yet cosmopolitan market town of Ashford which offers everything from everyday essentials to some of the finest shopping in Kent.
Great Homes Limited will shortly be unveiling its brochure and prices for the apartments, so to be one of the first with the information why not register your interest. Contact Great Homes Limited on 01375 484420, or visit its website www.greathomesltd.co.uk. |
