he unveiling of a brand new show home at Branksome Mews marks the latest phase in the success story of this Stanford-le-Hope development, and Great Homes, the company behind the project, is delighted to have given it the interior design treatment.
In-house interior designer, Sara Gilbert, says, “The show house was a pleasure to work on. With a good use of neutral colours and accent shades of lilac, I was able to work with its already spacious feel to give it a fresh, contemporary look. I am delighted with the effect, and think that it is a home that any family would love to own!” The new show house was unveiled at a special open weekend recently, and it received appreciative comments from the record number of visitors.
The house stands proudly at the entrance to this select development of three and four bedroomed family homes created in a mews style arrangement. It is located just off one of the area’s most prestigious roads, the tree-lined Branksome Avenue, and just a stone’s throw from the heart of Stanford-le-Hope in Essex. It is one of the latest projects from Chafford Hundred-based Great Homes Limited.
Like the other homes at Branksome Mews, the lilac-themed show home is a handsome looking property that has lots of interesting architectural features, including a bay window to the front, an arch shaped window to the side, and a traditional wooden front door. It stands in a landscaped garden of a pleasingly good size, and comes complete with its own private garage and car parking area – a must for any family.
The show home, a four-bedroomed Failand style, is typical of the high quality finish and attention to detail afforded to each and every home at Branksome Mews - there are 15 homes in total. For example, the house has a carefully considered internal layout that ensures a family has the space and privacy that is so important to everyday living.
From the entrance door, a large hallway opens out in front with a study to one side and a separate dining room set into the front bay window to the other. Both are essential spaces for a growing family. Next to the dining room is a hugely useful utility area, along with a well-equipped kitchen and breakfast room. Along the hall is a lounge that has French doors leading out to the rear garden, and a neat downstairs’ cloakroom tucked alongside the staircase to the first floor.
The house’s four bedrooms, each of a good size with plenty of space for essential clothes storage, are on the higher level. The master is more of a suite than a bedroom, and affords a private entrance door that conceals a fitted wardrobe, dressing area, an ensuite double shower room and, of course, the sleeping area itself. A family bathroom completes the show home’s accommodation. All the rooms are presented in soft shades for the walls, carpets and furnishings, giving the show home a bright and airy feel.
Great Homes prides itself on the quality of build and the fact that it chooses only the accessories that will enhance its homes, as at Branksome Mews. For example, like the show home, the kitchens in all the properties are attractively presented with wooden Shaker-style fitted units and cabinets, complementing wall tiles and flooring, and a particularly impressive range of integrated appliances. There’s a double oven, five-ring hob with stainless steel chimney above, a dishwasher and even a washer/dryer and fridge/freezer already in place.
The bathrooms and ensuite, too, are fitted with quality sanitary suites in white with neutral wall tiles that provide the perfect backdrop for adding accent colours with towels and soaps, in much the same way as the show home is presented.
There are finishing touches elsewhere in the homes too, such as flat plaster ceilings and gas central heating, plus numerous telephone and television points throughout.
The show home gives a glimpse of what it would be like to live and raise a family in this popular part of Essex. Branksome Mews is ideally located for some of the finest schools in the area, including Gable Hall and St Clere’s School, plus Stanford-le-Hope’s shops and restaurants are all within easy reach.
Nearby towns include Basildon, Grays and Southend, and these too have good schools, along with numerous sports centres, theatre, museums and shopping centres. Even Lakeside Chopping Centre is barely a 15-minute drive away.
Branksome Mews is, similarly, ideal for commuting. A good road infrastructure means that travelling, via the A13, M25 and A127, to major towns and the city is easily achieved, and Stanford-le-Hope’s own train link offers a journey time of less than 50 minutes straight into London’s Fenchurch Street Station.
The show home is a fine example of how an ideal home and lifestyle can be achieved at Branksome Mews. For further information, contact Carla at Fisks, the development’s selling agent, on 01268 510510 or visit its website www.greathomesltd.co.uk.
