A leading local telecommunication company has secured the last unit in a prestigious office complex in Chafford Hundred…to the delight of its developer Great Homes Limited.
Ascension Business Park in Fleming Road combines a superb location for business with the A13 just a few minutes drive away for direct access into London in one direction and Southend in the other, and the M25 for onwards journeys to towns, cities, ports and airports throughout the UK, with offices that afford the highest specification. It was for this reason that Purple Comms Limited approached Great Homes Limited and decided the unit was perfect for its business.
“We had been looking for the right unit in the right location for sometime,” says Cheryl Price, Purple Comms Limited’s financial controller. “When we found the unit at Ascension Business Park we knew that it was right for our business. It fulfilled our criteria for the next step in our business development perfectly.”
The company, which tailors telecommunications systems to businesses’ individual requirements, handles the supply of telephones, payphones, fax machines and answer machines, along with the installation and maintenance of its products. It can supply businesses with a single telephone right through to a complete 1,000-extension network system, plus accessories such as headsets and public address facilities.
Purple Comms Limited works with businesses throughout the UK and found the park’s location an ideal base from which to travel. Along with the A13 and M25, Ascension Business Park is also within easy reach of Chafford Hundred rail station. It is just a few minutes walk away and ideal for business trips into London. A journey time into the capital’s Fenchurch Station is less than 30 minutes, and rail travel to the rest of the UK is viable, too, via London’s terminal stations.
“We are delighted to welcome Purple Comms Limited, which joins Palmers Solicitors, at our Ascension Business Park complex,” says David Sparks, managing director of Great Homes Limited which developed the site, one of several projects in Essex, and has its own head office within the complex. “In just a few weeks we have seen two leading businesses join us at the park, which is excellent news as it means jobs have been created in the area.”
Ascension Business Park is somewhat revolutionary in terms of its design. Comprising two single-storey buildings each containing individual office suites, the complex offers long, long sweeps of windows and attractive entrance doors to provide a welcome for visiting clients. Built in a soft mellow red brick, the buildings have a high roofline that provides a vaulted ceiling effect, and therefore a feeling of space, within.
All the offices have the benefit of on-site car parking, while inside every office is carpeted and has double-glazing and air conditioning.
Great Homes, which prides itself on the craftsmanship applied to each stage of the design and construction process, be it for family homes or an office complex, is justly proud of Ascension Business Park. Completed just a few weeks ago, it drew interest from a wide variety of small office-based businesses that recognised its quality build and good location. It’s proved a winning combination and one that Great Homes Limited hopes to expand upon. “Offices of this quality and in such a good location are sought-after in this part of Essex,” says David Sparks. “Demand far exceeds availability.”
Great Homes, itself, was the first to move in earlier this year. The company is currently building apartments designed for residents aged 60 years and over at Sandringham Court in Hadleigh, and a collection of family homes at Branksome Mews in Stanford-le-Hope. It recently completed a complex of apartments with a private gym at Gower Place, also in Fleming Road, Chafford Hundred, which proved hugely popular. Being central to its projects, Ascension Business Park was the natural choice for the company’s own head office.
Great Homes was quickly followed by Palmers Solicitors. The firm, which offers a full service including commercial litigation and company acquisition to private conveyancing and tax planning, found that Chafford Hundred, and indeed the business park itself, provided a strategic new avenue for business expansion.
The office became its third in Essex, and Palmers Solicitors successfully recruited new legal and administration staff for its expanding client base. Purple Comms Limited now looks set to do the same. |
